Hello and welcome to another edition of Big Sports News*! Today we will be going into the NFL section. I haven’t made a post of Big Sports News for quite some time, so I got a lot to cover today. It looks to be a busy day, but hey, you just have to read it. I had to write it.

Jay Cutler

With all the hype swirling around Jay Cutler for a very long time, it is finally over! Cutler has officially been traded to the Chicago Bears for Kyle Orton and some draft picks.

What can the Broncos do now? I really don’t expect for Kyle Orton to be the quarterback for the Broncos. Well, now that the Broncos have two first-round draft picks, they can now get a guy like Josh Freeman in the draft.

Why not Pat White? That can be real decent there. What about Nate Davis? He can be the guy. It is going to be tough. Or it can be Chris Simms and Kyle Orton battling for the job. We’ll see what happens.

For right now, Jay Cutler is happy because he is leaving Denver. Josh McDaniels is happy because now he doesn’t have to deal with nonsense bull he is been dealing with for some weeks. And being happy is good.

                                                         Tony Scheffler

Well, you thought the Jay Cutler thing is over. Didn’t you? Well, it isn’t. Scheffler told the Denver Post that he is not “happy about the idea” because his best friend on the team has moved to Chicago.

He also said it is good that Jay Cutler is on the Bears, but he wants to see “how it turns out.” Probably not so good.

Well now teams are spreading interest in Scheffler. Those teams realize now that it looks like Scheffler doesn’t want to be a Denver Bronco.

What are the teams? The Lions and Bills, thank you very much. The Lions can take him because he can be a good target along with Calvin and Bryant Johnson for Daunte Culpepper or Drew Stanton, if he gets the job.

The Bills can take him to help out Trent Edwards and the targets of Lee Evans, James Hardy, Terrell Owens, and Josh Reed. So what is going to happen now? We’ll see, soon.

Anquan Boldin

You thought the Boldin thing was over? Heck no! On Thursday, the Dolphins asked the Cardinals to arrange a deal in them getting Boldin.

An anonymous writer at the Miami Herald said, “I would love it. You know, I’m a Florida guy, always will be a Florida guy at heart. If it happens, I’ll definitely be grateful.”

“It’s a tough situation and you definitely don’t want this hanging over your head going into another season, especially it being a couple of years past due,” Boldin later said in an interview.

Two other teams have spread interest, too: Eagles and Giants. The Eagles can take him to help out DeSean Jackson, Kevin Curtis, and Reggie Brown. He

can be a primary target for Donovan McNabb, too. And then it can take some time off of Brian Westbrook.

The Giants can take him because I really don’t see Plaxico Burress coming back to the team. And now that Amani Toomer is in free agency, the Giants need to take a shot at Boldin.

Right now the Dolphins have Boldin in their hands. With the Cardinals in a need of a running back in place of Tim Hightower, the Dolphins can also trade Ricky Williams. Even though he will be 32-years-old next year, he did have 659 yards last year.

T.O. on the Bills won’t be that big when you see

Boldin on the Fins. Everyone will be buying that Dolphins jersey with Boldin on the back.

But speaking of the Fins? Why do they want to get Boldin? Well, here’s your answer: he can help out Chad Pennington and Ted Ginn Jr. in the passing

game. He can also fit very nicely in the Wildcat. That’ll be so awesome with a guy like Boldin in the Wildcat! Dang!

Jason Taylor

After having a not-so-good year with the Redskins, other teams are interested in Taylor.

Dolphins linebacker, Channing Crowder, said to the South Flordia Sun-Sentinel that Taylor “wants to be a Dolphin” again.

Now besides Taylor being with the Dolphins, Taylor can go to the steamy defense of the Patriots. With a small chance of the Pats getting Julius Peppers, they should take a shot at Jason Taylor.

Right now, I think Taylor should re-unite with the Dolphins. He has been such an important player to the team. He’s been with them for pretty much 99.9 percent of his career.

And guess what? Jason Taylor will also be on a team that might have a shot of getting Anquan Boldin.

Houston Texans

The Texans have spread interest in four linebackers, all of whom have been on the Colts!

Who are the players? The answer is Cato June, Freddie Keiaho

, Tyjaun Hagler, and Buster Davis.

Why get Cato June? From 2004-to-2006, June has been a “tackling machine.” Mean machine! In 2006, it was June’s most important year. How? Because first, he won the Super Bowl and two, he had an amazing 142 tackles! Now do you get why June is this so-called tackling machine?” Well, now you do.

Now to Freddie Keiaho. Keiaho totaled 105 tackles with the Colts last year and only played 14 games! That is pretty decent. Then why the heck did the Colts release him? Because Clint Sessions proved he was better filling in for him. Keiaho looks to be a great linebacker for the Colts. Freddie, too, also has a Super Bowl ring.

Even though he is 5′9″ and is only coming into his third year, he is still pretty good. He had 24 tackles last year with the Colts. In his last three games of the season with the Colts, he had 20 tackles total.

A guy like Davis on the Texans is pretty solid. He can be some good backup or, if he is lucky, a starter.

I’d like to see Buster start some games for the Texans. This guy has some potential in becoming a great NFL linebacker, for sure.

Now we go to Hagler. He has been really productive with the Colts defense. He was supposed to start with Indy last year, but was injured.

After just playing three games last year, Hagler had 27 tackles. That is pretty solid for a linebacker, especially for one on the Colts.

In 2007, Hagler only played seven games but had an amazing 54 tackles. Pretty hard to accomplish something like that.

I think the Texans should really take Hagler. This guy can be a potential Pro Bowler next year if the Texans sign him and start him.

So you got these linebackers? I really wouldn’t be surprised if Houston got all of them.

Rodney Harrison

Harrison, 36, will decide by June first if he wants to stay in the NFL. Right now, Harrison is a free agent. He has to make a decision on staying or leaving the NFL. I think he should stay.

If Harrison stays, two teams, as of right now, have interest in him: the Patriots and Falcons. I don’t know what to choose. I think the Falcons might offer more money probably because Rodney has been with the Patriots for so long.

They probably might not want Rodney at all. If Rodney goes to the Falcons, he might end up like Lawyer Milloy did. And Milloy has been excellent with

Atlanta, averaging 90 tackles per season with them, playing before with the Pats and now the Falcons.

Could it be like this for Rodney Harrison? We’ll see.

Will Jay Cutler succeed with the Bears? Will Tony Scheffler get his shot with the Lions or Bills? Will Anquan Boldin be a Dolphin? Will Jason Taylor re-unite with the Fins?
